Living History offers a more activity based day for schools that cater specifically for pupils with special educational needs or learning difficulties/disabilities.
Just like the full Living History experience the
day is set in and around the former Royal Palace at Hatfield
Activities offered include:
An introduction to the Old Palace and as much or as little history
as you wish in the company of a costumed presenter utilising the
pictures hanging on the walls of the Palace
The design and creation
of individual coats of arms.
Dancing to music played on Tudor instruments.
Those who don't wish to dance may accompany
the dancers on the drum.
Shooting a real Longbow.
Looking at and maybe drawing
the patterns in the authentic Tudor
A visit to the Rare
Running between the hours of 10.00am and 2.00 pm the day can be adapted to suit your individual requirements.
In the case of inclement weather the majority of the activities can be carried out and lunch eaten indoors.
On fine days a picnic in the grounds is always an option.
Please contact Gary Fisher by phone or e mail to discuss planning a visit.
